Jakarta – Polda Metro Jaya held a Coordination Meeting (Rakor) for Optimizing Readiness for Security of Voting and Vote Counting in the framework of Operation Mantab Brata in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya at TBA, 2nd Floor of the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Central Jakarta, Monday, (29/1).
Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Karyoto in his speech invited all parties to prepare everything well to prevent potential security disturbances in the implementation of the 2024 elections.
“All levels and relevant stakeholders jointly formulate and determine security measures to anticipate undesirable things. Don’t let us under estimate the current situation,” said Kapolda Karyoto.
Apart from that, Kapolda Karyoto also explained that the level of vulnerability and potential disturbances that occur in the process of voting and counting votes are also determined by several natural and environmental factors.
“Therefore, thorough security preparations are needed by involving all relevant stakeholders in the process of voting and counting votes accurately and according to targets that uphold the principles of Direct, General, Free, Secret, Honest and Fair Elections (LUBER JURDIL). In order to avoid disturbances before voting day,” explained Kapolda Karyoto.
At the end of his speech, Kapolda Karyoto also advised us to work together and collaborate to create conducive political stability to support the implementation of elections in accordance with applicable regulations.
In the implementation of the 2024 elections, Operation Mantab Brata Polda Metro Jaya alerted a force of 162,313 joint personnel consisting of 20,291 Polri personnel, 10,890 TNI personnel and 131,132 Linmas personnel. It is hoped that all these forces can cover the security of all polling stations in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya.
