Jakarta – The famous band from England, Coldplay will hold a concert at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) today, Wednesday, (15/11). For this reason, Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya has prepared a number of traffic engineering techniques.
This information was conveyed via the Twitter social media account @TMCPoldaMetro. It was said that Coldplay concertgoers were advised to use public transportation, because GBK did not provide parking bags.
“To all concert goers at GBK, please use public transportation, GBK does not provide parking bags (drop off at the entrance),” tweeted the @TMCPoldaMetro account, quoted on Tuesday, (14/11).
Traffic engineering around GBK is situational. However, if necessary, this will be done to anticipate traffic jams due to the Coldplay concert.
Traffic engineering during a Coldplay concert:
1. Traffic flow from Jalan Gatot Subroto heading towards Jalan Pemuda Gate is directed straight towards Slipi
2. Traffic flow from the direction of Slipi is directed straight towards Semanggi, no one is heading towards Landokgi Flyover towards Jalan Pemuda Gate
3. Traffic flow from the Senayan Roundabout heading towards Jalan Pintu 1 Senayan will be straightened to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman towards Semanggi
4. Traffic flow from Jalan Moestopo towards Jalan Asia Afrika is diverted to the right towards Jalan Hang Tuah Raya
5. Traffic flow from Jalan Patal Senayan 1 towards Jalan Asia Afrika is diverted to the left onto Jalan Army Student
6. Traffic flow from Jalan Army Student towards Jalan Patal Senayan is straightened towards Jalan Permata Hijau
7. Traffic flow towards Manggala Wanabakti towards Jalan Lapangan Tembak will be straightened towards Jalan Army Student
Car and motorbike drivers were also asked to avoid roads around Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) to avoid traffic jams caused by the Coldplay concert. The flow diversion has the potential to be carried out from 14.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB.
“Avoid around GBK, avoid traffic congestion, there is a concert at GBK,” tweeted the @TMCPoldaMetro account, conveying a message. Bembo
