Surabaya – Bakamla RI through KN Tanjung Datu-301 held a socialization on the duties and functions of Bakamla RI to maintain security and safety in Indonesia’s territorial waters and jurisdiction. This activity took place at the Surabaya Shipping Polytechnic (Poltekpel), Wednesday, (15/11).
The socialization was attended by approximately 90 Surabaya Polytechnic students, administrative staff, and the Head of the Academic and Cadet Administration Section, Dr. Capt. Mustamine. Meanwhile, the resource persons presented to give presentations were First Lieutenant Bakamla Peter Dewangga, First Lieutenant Bakamla Aliakbar Haidar Muthahari, and Serka Bakamla Muhammad Syaiful Darmawan.
In his presentation, the resource person explained the duties and functions, history, organizational structure, areas of authority of Bakamla RI in operating, a map of the distribution of Bakamla RI offices, as well as maritime security patrol equipment which includes state ships, RHIBs, HSCs and Catamarans. Not only that, it was also explained about the weapons possessed by the Indonesian Bakamla patrol ships.
At the end of the presentation, the three speakers also provided information about the Indonesian Bakamla Contact Center which can be contacted for complaints regarding security and safety at sea. Bembo
