Jakarta – The suspect in the murder of a female student in Depok who was arrested in Pekalongan, Central Java, Argiyan Arbirama (20), apparently was also reported to the police for raping two women, namely an 18 year old teenager and a 22 year old female student. Argiyan and the second victim allegedly knew each other through social media.
“The second victim got to know the perpetrator via the Line application. The second victim, a 22-year-old female student, was reported to the police on January 4 2024,” said Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, Sunday, (21/1).
Meanwhile, the Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Wira Satya in his statement said, that his party would coordinate with the Polres Metro Depok to handle the alleged rape case.
“We will coordinate with the Polres Metro Depok regarding the perpetrator’s confession regarding the alleged violence accompanied by threats,” said Kombes Pol Wira.
Kasubdit Jatantas Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Rovan Richard Mahenu also added that, Argiyan and the victim met for coffee on January 3 2024. After that, Argiyan allegedly took the victim to his rented house and raped him. According to AKBP Rovan, the victim resisted but failed.
“The reported Argiyan took the second victim to his rented house in Sukmajaya, Depok. The reason was to take clothes. But it turned out the victim was raped and the victim fought back,” he said.
Apart from the police report by the second victim, Argiyan was also reported by the first victim, an 18 year old teenager, also on suspicion of rape. The report was made by the victim on January 3, 2024.
The rape is suspected to have occurred in March 2023, when the victim was 17 years old. As a result of Argiyan’s actions, the victim is now pregnant and awaiting delivery.
Argiyan himself has now been caught and is languishing in the Polda Metro Jaya detention cell. But he was arrested for murder, not rape. Argiyan was arrested for the murder of a student with the initials K, who was none other than his girlfriend.
The murder occurred on Thursday 18 January 2024 in Sukmajaya, Depok. This case was discovered because Argiyan’s mother, FT (42), reported the police after finding K’s body in her rented house. Bembo
