Jakarta – The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya has prepared a Mobile Driving License (SIM) service in five Jakarta locations to make it easier for residents to process the extension of legal driving requirements, Tuesday, (20/2).
Quoted from the official X (Twitter) account of TMC Polda Metro Jaya, this Mobile SIM service operates from 08.00 to 14.00 WIB. Today’s five Polda Metro Jaya Mobile SIM service locations are as follows:
1. East Jakarta at Grand Cakung Mall.
2. South Jakarta at the Kalibata Trilogy Campus.
3. North Jakarta in the JCC Senayan parking lot.
4. West Jakarta at Citraland Mall.
5. Central Jakarta at the Lapangan Banteng Post Office.
In order to be able to access and be served by this mobile SIM facility, the public must prepare and complete the necessary requirements. This also includes, of course, administration fees for SIM extension.
The requirements in question are a photocopy of a valid KTP, a photocopy of the old driver’s license and original driver’s license, proof of a health check, and proof of a psychological test.
This Mobile SIM car service only serves to extend valid SIMs for certain groups, namely SIM A and SIM C.
Meanwhile, people whose SIM has expired must apply for a new SIM at a place determined by the police.
The fee for extending a SIM in accordance with PP Number 60 of 2016 concerning Non-Tax State Revenue is Rp80,000 for extending SIM A, and Rp75,000 for extending SIM C.
Meanwhile, SIM class B cannot extend the validity period for the Mobile SIM service. To extend this SIM class, it must be done at the SIM Administration Unit (Satpas) office due to differences in document designation.
