Jakarta – Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Karyoto inaugurated the R Soenarjo Building and the renovation of the Cultural Heritage Building for the Mobile Brigade Unit of the Metro Jaya Police on Jalan Warrior KKO Usman and Harun Number 18, Kwitang, Jakarta Pusat, Wednesday, (31/1).
In his speech at the inauguration, Kapolda Karyoto said, that the building being inaugurated was a symbol of progress, change, and Polri’s commitment to maintaining security and order in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya.
The construction of the R. Soenarjo Building and renovation of the Cultural Heritage Building, continued Kapolda Karyoto, is not just a physical building. But it more reflects the spirit of better public service, professionalism and dedication embedded in the souls of Brimob Polda Metro Jaya personnel in carrying out their duties.
Not to forget, Kapolda Karyoto also expressed his highest appreciation to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, especially to the Department of Culture and the Department of Human Settlements, Spatial Planning and Land for their support and contribution to realizing the construction of this building.
“Alhamdulillah, the construction of the R. Soenarjo Building can run smoothly and there are no obstacles whatsoever,” said Kapolda Karyoto.
Furthermore, in his speech, Kapolda Karyoto also emphasized that the Brimob Polda Metro Jaya unit must truly carry out its main role as a special task force for the Polri to handle contingency situations such as riots, terrorism and high-intensity public security and order disturbances.
“To all levels of Brimob Polda Metro Jaya personnel, i order you to provide full support for every activity, both national and international. So that the event or activity runs safely and orderly. This will certainly be Indonesia’s leverage point for national progress and development,” said Kapolda Karyoto.
Regarding the ongoing series of election stages, all Brimob personnel must also be ready to move whenever and wherever needed.
“Securate the series of election stages with full vigilance, seriousness and not underestimating,” he emphasized again.
In his welcoming speech, Kapolda Karyoto also expressed his hope that the inauguration of the R. Soenarjo Building could increase the enthusiasm and capability of Brimob personnel in accuracy, speed and professionalism in dealing with security and order disturbances. The personnel were also asked to always follow the message of the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, on the 78th Anniversary of the Indonesian Police Mobile Brigade Corps.
“Resolving various security and social security stability challenges is not an easy job. However, i am sure that the solidity and team spirit that we have will be a strength. So that the figure of the Polri will always solve its challenges with precision,” said Kapolda Karyoto, igniting the enthusiasm of all personnel at the end of his speech.

In 2023, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will play a very big role in supporting the realization of security and public order.
