Jakarta – Mabes Polri handed over the report files of a number of lenders regarding the failure to pay PT Igrow Resources Indonesia or PT LinkAja Modalin Nusantara (iGrow) to Polda Metro Jaya. The transfer of files was carried out last Monday, (15/1).
The lawyer for the iGrow lenders who are members of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI), Rifqi Zulham said, that the police report on the case was initially reported to the Mabes Polri on January 4 2023.
“Based on the delegation letter from Mabes Polri which was copied to our office, it has been delegated to Polda Metro Jaya. So, the inquiry and investigation process will be followed up by Polda Metro Jaya. We hope it can be handled effectively and efficiently,” he said, Sunday, (21 /1).
He continued, based on this delegation, Polda Metro Jaya will later summon and examine the ranks of iGrow management.
He said that his party reported the former founder or management of PT LinkAja Modalin Nusantara, namely PT Igrow Resources Indonesia, to the Bareskrim Polri. The report relates to alleged criminal acts of fraud and/or embezzlement, crimes regarding information and electronic transactions (ITE), fund transfers and/or money laundering crimes. This alleged criminal offense carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine of Rp10 billion.
“So, the lenders who reported the alleged criminal act are just waiting for the inquiry and investigation process. In the near future, the founders and administrators of iGrow will be summoned and questioned by the Mabes Polri,” said Rifqi some time ago before learning of the news of the transfer of files to Polda Metro Jaya .
Apart from not having received the funding money, Rifqi continued, the lenders also have not received claim disbursement from insurance which protects against default by the borrower.
“The lender’s project to buy insurance, which will guarantee the return of losses for lenders who fail to pay, is also not available,” he explained.
Furthermore, he also said that IGrow did not receive clear information regarding insurance from the start. Likewise, he also said that in the LAPS SJK mediation case a few days ago, iGrow admitted that the insurance it used was from PT Asuransi Simas Insurtech, but there was no policy and no disbursement whatsoever.
He also revealed that not all lenders purchase insurance coverage because there are additional fees charged by iGrow to lenders. The reason is, it is optional.
He also added, that until now his party had never discussed insurance disbursement in mediation some time ago. The reason is that iGrow is not at all serious about resolving the problem of payment failure.
For information, iGrow so far has a TKB90 of 53.44% or bad credit reaching 45.56%. Bembo
