Jakarta – The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya will hunt down the perpetrators who received motor vehicles (ranmor) resulting from crime in Timor Leste. The Ditreskrimum Polda Metro will coordinate with the International Relations Division (Div Hubinter) of the National Police, to arrest the perpetrators who are in Timor Leste.

“We will try to coordinate later with the Div Hubinter to coordinate later with the Timor Leste police. Will we be able to reach out in that direction later,” said the Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Wira Satya, to journalists, Thursday, ( 11/1).

As is known, the recently uncovered syndicate for theft and embezzlement of hundreds of vehicles has a network in Timor Leste.

They sent embezzled vehicles from within the country to be sold in Timor Leste.

“The suspect sold it in Timor Leste. They knew the buyers there through their FB account,” said Kombes Pol Wira.

Furthermore, Kombes Pol Wira also said, that there are four names from this network who are currently in Timor Leste. They were buyers of vehicles resulting from crime from the suspects.

“There are several names, namely four Timor Leste citizens,” he said again.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya together with POM Kodam V/Brawijaya succeeded in uncovering cases of theft and embezzlement of hundreds of vehicles, both motorbikes and cars.

Hundreds of vehicles, the majority of which were new vehicles, were found at the TNI AD warehouse in Sidoarjo, East Java.

In this case, two civilians have been arrested and named as suspects.

There are also three TNI AD soldiers who are also being processed by Puspomad in connection with this case.

This syndicate took action by buying new vehicles from creditors. Their network of creditors first purchased vehicles, both motorbikes and new cars, using fake identities.

Once the vehicle is in possession of the suspects, they will send the vehicle to Timor Leste for sale, using the deep sea route each time. Bembo
