The inactive chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) came to Bareskrim Polri to be questioned again as a suspect in the alleged extortion case against former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL).
Firli’s arrival at Bareskrim was confirmed by his attorney, Ian Iskandar. Firli, he said. had arrived earlier than the inspection schedule which was planned at 11.00 WIB.
Rumors circulating among media crews say that Firli Bahuri will be detained by investigators today. The reasons for detention are very strong. Apart from being considered uncooperative, the threat of punishment is very serious, namely 20 years in prison.
Firli Bahuri’s attorney, Ian Iskandar, said that his client today will provide clarification regarding assets that are not listed in the State Administrator’s Wealth Report (LHKPN).
He admitted that some of Firli’s assets were not reported because they were hampered by administrative problems.
“There is a deed of sale and purchase agreement that has not been completed. There is also the latest information that we will convey to investigators,” he said.
Deputy Director for Corruption Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Kombes Pol Arief Adiharsa also confirmed that Firli had come to answer the summons for examination at the Bareskrim Polri Building.
Investigators had previously scheduled Firli’s examination for last Thursday, (21/12/). However, Firli chose Tengil not to come to answer the investigator’s summons for reasons that the investigator considered unreasonable. Bembo
