Jakarta – The Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) Polda Metro Jaya has reopened mobile driving license (SIM) service outlets in five locations in Jakarta after the system went offline last Wednesday, (2/8). Mobile SIM outlets are opened to help the public extend the validity period of the driving legal requirements,
Via the official TMC Polda Metro Jaya Twitter account on Wednesday, (9/8) the Mobile SIM service is located at:
East Jakarta: Grand Cakung Mall
South Jakarta: Kalibata Trilogy Campus
North Jakarta: LTC Glodok
West Jakarta: Citraland Mall
Central Jakarta: Lapangan Banteng Post Office
The SIM booth is open from 08.00 to 14.00 WIB.
In order to be able to access and be served in this Mobile SIM facility, the public must prepare and complete the required requirements and administrative costs before visiting the SIM document extension location.
There are also these requirements, namely, a photocopy of a valid KTP, then a photocopy of the old driver’s license and the original driver’s license, proof of a health check and proof of a psychological test.
This mobile SIM car service can only extend valid SIMs for certain groups, namely SIM A and SIM C.
For SIMs that have expired, the SIM owner must apply for a new SIM at a location determined by the police.
For renewal fees, according to Government Regulation Number 60 of 2016 concerning Non-Tax State Revenue, it is Rp80,000 for SIM A extension and Rp75,000 for SIM C extension.
As for the type of SIM B, it cannot be extended for the Mobile SIM service, but must be extended at the SIM Administration Operations Unit (Satpas) office due to differences in document allocations.
