Semarang – Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General of Police Firman Shantyabudi hopes that all investigators have the same understanding and competence in law enforcement when a traffic accident occurs.
He made this statement at the 2023 T.A 2023 Rayon II Traffic Accident Investigator Training and Certification Competency Test in Semarang, Central Java.
“Our hope is of course that all investigators have an understanding, have the same competence as a form of professional responsibility,” said Inspector General of Police Firman Shantyabudi as quoted from the NTMC Polri website, Thursday, (3/8).
“(The accident investigators) were faced with an event that we did not want, such as an accident,” he continued.
On that occasion, Kakorlantas Polri also appreciated a number of Polda who had sent their personnel to take part in the certification activity.
“We appreciate a number of Polda who not only sent their personnel well to take part in vocational training with certification, this year it will be held for the second time,” he said.
Previously, the Kakorlantas Polri also had the opportunity to conduct a review of the ETLE and RTMC rooms as well as the R2 and R4 service stations for the Central Java Regional Police Traffic Directorate accompanied by the Central Java Regional Police Traffic Director, Kombes Pol Agus Suryo Nugroho.
“I certainly appreciate that the Central Java Regional Police and their stakeholders are compact, because we always operate in a coordinative position, we cannot proceed alone even though the investigation is independent, but we will still need other agencies,” he explained.
Firman also mentioned that the ranks of the police, especially the Polantas in Central Java, were quite active, and the local government even acknowledged that the police were also close to the community.
“We want to give more enthusiasm, encourage the Central Java Regional Police to increase compliance both in terms of law enforcement and compliance regarding the specific payment of taxes. Hopefully Central Java can also be an example for others,” he explained again.
Also present on this occasion were the Dirgakkum Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Pol Aan Suhanan, Main Director of PT Jasa Raharja Rivan A Purwantono, Head of the National Police Certification Institute Guntor Gaffar, Director of Operations of PT Jasa Raharja Dewi Aryani Suzana and other PJU Polri.
