Jakarta – A total of 850 joint personnel from Polda Metro Jaya and Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat will be involved in securing the Christmas Service held by the Tiberias Church at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK), Saturday, (8/12) tonight.
“Yes, there are 850 combined personnel from the Polda (Metro Jaya) and the Polres Metro (Jakarta Pusat),” said Kapolres Metro Jakarta Pusat Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro to journalists, Saturday, (9/12).
Meanwhile, the Head of Operations at the Ditlantas of Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Dermawan Karojual, also appealed to the public to avoid the Gelora Bung Karno area tonight. Because, there are several activities taking place in the GBK area until evening.
“We tell residents to avoid the area around Gelora Bung Karno considering that there are lots of community activities starting from 13.00 to 22.00 WIB,” said AKBP Dermawan.
Apart from that, he also appealed to the congregation who will attend Tiberias Church Christmas in GBK to use public transportation. This is to minimize piles of vehicles that have the potential to cause traffic jams.
“And we tell the Tiberias congregation who will celebrate Christmas at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium to use public transportation or motorbikes,” he appealed.
“Considering that parking facilities in the GBK area are very, very limited,” he continued.
