A. INTRODUCTION
You were made by GOD and for GOD and Until you under stand that life will never make sense. What do I want to be?
What should I do with my life?? What are my goals, My Ambitiones, My dreams for my future. When I was young, I Always thinking about the Life, What is the meaning of life???
The Answer is Life means only meaning less or Life mean only vanity or life means only an empty dream. It is Correct or not?? It is depend on your view according to the writer.
I Live like a candle and it can be illuminate the people who are standing surround me. That was the topics when writer preached at public criminal departement Polda Metro Jaya dated 20 September 2013, the writer invited by Mrs Sarlota ,the police officer at Polda Metro Jaya.
By preaching made the writer happy because the writer could convinced the people of GOD that they did not make any mistake in their life even a small mistake and writer hope our life can be useful for others otherwise we are only a rubbish, and many christian had already done it.
B. WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE
According to the writer, life means only meaningless, life is only a vanity and life is only an empty dream , so what we need in our life ? is nothing.
You were made by God and for God and until you understand that life will never make sense, that is a statement from Dr.Dobson .
Luke chapter 10 verse 27 says:
So he answered and said” You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all the soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself”.
What is the meaning of life ?
What do I want to be ? What should I do with my life. What are my Goals, my ambitions, my dreams for my future.
When we got much money as much as we need by doing anything
Do we feel happy when we could get the money as much as we can with many effort to get it ? Even to do illegal thing such as cheating , bribe the boss or you probably want to have more wives or boy friends. We are might turn to become a powerholic, we want to be like a policeman, a prosecutor, a judge, who has power to retain someone according to KUHAP chapter 1 article 21:
A retention is a placement of an accused in a specific place by an investigator or a prosecutor or a judge with it’s command , in relation with, and according to the methods ruled by the Constitution.
We have an awesome Constitution and rules, however the enforcement of the law is always left behind or cannot be established, why? Is it because of the corruption, collusion, and nepotism could not be taken care of by the government anymore? Or is it because the law officer which breaks the law? (Occupational crime, cited from Prof.Dr.Tubagus Ronny Rahman Nitibaskara, MA in his book: When the evil rules) and I also would like to cite a very good opinion of Taverne (a Greek philosopher) that states:
Give me an honest and smart attorney, give me an honest and smart judge, even with the worst Constitution, I will produce a fair decision.
In another story, we often see a woman who is obssessed with marrying a western guy because, that woman considers that a western guy is more romantic, handsome, and their children will grow so much better by having that guy as their father. But in my marrying a Western guy would cause more anguish than happiness, because a Western guy is easily get bored with his couple. They could have a mindset that the local girls are only begging for love. therefore easily abused, will not put a fight. They do not realize that a lot of such cases are reported to the police. If the report was made to the Local police, they would say that we should send the report to the County Police, and even when everything has been done, it takes a lot of time to actually process the case.
What is the meaning of life, I got this topic when I was in Bali on 4 March 2005, to handl the case of a woman who married a Western guy. At Jimbaran beach, I tried to reconcile the local woman with his Western husband, as a mediator.
When I looked at that Western guy’s lifestyle, we have to admit that we need to learn to enjoy life itself. A Western guy usually enjoys his daily life very much, for instance: the way they drink a beer, they could enjoy by themselves , slowly they drink their beer, talking hours without getting bored.
March 4th, 2005, I was at Jimbaran Bali, was together with my enemy , a Western guy. We were at the beach watching the sunset. It was gorgeous, a lot of foreigners come to that place to enjoying beautiful sunset
During that meeting, I could see that Western guys, in their daily lives could enjoy more of this life. That guy enjoyed every ounce of that beer that he had, and they were very relaxed during that dinner. They did not getting hasty, and they did not care about their problems at that time.
It is different compared to our nation, where its people work day and night without getting tired and could not enjoy his/her life. Think about it, once he/she is stricten by a disease, or paralysed, everything will be over. Even when we are drinking beer, even though we drink a lot, but we still could not fully grasp the enjoyment.
The quality of life really determines one’s personality and independence/freedom in life, the things that are sought after by Western people as said by Franklin D.Rooservelt (1882-1945) President of the United States of America:
In future days, which we seek to make secure, we look forward to a world founded upon four essential freedoms. The first is the freedom of speech and expression everywhere in the world, the second is the Freedoms of every person to worship God in his own way everywhere in the world, The third is Freedom from want, The fourth is Freedom from fear.
As long as our heart beats, as long as we still breathe, we have an obligation to learn and study. We need to learn about life, and we need to study the knowledge. Katherine states that:
To learn, to desire, to know, to feel, to think, to act. This is what I want, and nothing else. That is what I must try for.
Therefore, to enjoy this life we need to learn and study to achieve a better life quality for without those we are nothing but blind people, who see only darkness day and night.
For everything, absolutely everything above and below visible and mirsible everything got started in him and find its purpose in him.
Bertrand Russell, author states that:
Unless you assume is god, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.
Colossians chapter 1 verse 16 says that:
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
In another story, when I was in Pekanbaru attended the administrative court and when I would returned to Jakarta one of my new client asked me to protect her and getting the human corpse of her subordinate who has already dead because of accident at Duri Pekanbaru.
After I met the chief of the police (Kapolsek) Duri, he let me to take the human corpse and I brought to Jakarta but before that we have special ceremony for christian people. The ceremonial already finished and I asked his wife to touched the human corpse hands because he will met his Lord.What did the wife said to me, I did not want to touched him any more because my hausband already dead and I was afraid with him now .I was so surprised hearing the wife statement and directly I thought if I die may be my wife will do the same thing because I do not know already .
C. CONCLUSION
Many Christians people already breached the law because of suffering. The became evil for another people life, that is why writer as an advocate become a Preacher. because writer has a heavy burden seeing this happened in daily life.
Many advocate should be a devil advocate and they did not have charity. in their heart only hard feeling and should be jealous with another advocate even they are the same religion, and they strike one and another ,only Lord know what they have done in their Life .
According to the writer our life can be useful to another people and our life like a candle and iluminate the people who are standing around me.
I Hope this article can be useful for the people who has read it and always pray on glory for our Lord Jesus Christ even we known it is so difficult to understand God.
