Jakarta – The suspect in the murder of the Gunadarma student who was raped, Argiyan Arbirama (20), is suspected of having a mental disorder. The reason is, investigators found many pornographic videos from the suspect’s cellphone.
Dirreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Wira SatyaTriputra said, that his party would collaborate with the Forensic Psychology Association (Apsifor) to find out Argiyan’s psychology.
“Regarding the issue of finding pornographic content on his cellphone, is it related to the perpetrator’s motive for carrying out his actions? This is still being investigated,” said Kombes Pol Wira to reporters, Tuesday, (23/1).
“Of course we will collaborate with Apsifor to find out the psychological extent of this perpetrator,” he added.
Investigators from the Jatanras Sub-Directorate, Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya are currently still investigating Argiyan Arbirama’s motive for raping and killing female students in Depok. As a result of the examination, it was also found that there were many pornographic videos on Argiyan’s cell phone.
“We found many pornographic videos on the suspect Argiyan’s cellphone,” said Head of Sub-Directorate for Jatanras, Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Rovan Richard Mahenu yesterday.
According to him, Argiyan admitted that he often watched pornographic videos. Therefore, his party is still investigating whether this is what influenced Argiyan to rape and kill the victim. Bembo
