Jakarta – The Police Precision Journalists Forum (FWPP) Polda Metro Jaya complained about the leadership style of the Traffic Director (Dirlantas) Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Latif Usman, who tends to be an introvert who is not open and does not pay attention to journalists. If calculated on a scale of 1 to 10, only around 1 or 2 journalists’ WhatsApp messages were answered or responded to.
It is not known for certain what made Kombes Pol Latif Usman’s figure like that when he held a strategic and wet position as Dirlantas Polda Metro. To the point that several requests for help from journalists who were in trouble via WhatsApp were not responded to.
“During his work as a journalist at Polda Metro, only the Dirlantas now is the one who is indifferent and doesn’t pay attention to journalists. In fact, it was only during the time of Kombes Pol Latif Usman that journalists didn’t have a contact number for the Kasubdit Regident, AKBP Arief. I don’t know why it was like this. He said, during the previous period of the Dirlantas, there had never been any complaints from journalists regarding coordination and attention. Even if there are complaints, only one or two people complain. Different from now. The majority of journalists actually complained about the style and characteristics of Kombes Pol Latif.
“At Polda Metro, all journalists have the same function and position. There is no journalist organization at Polda Metro Jaya. There is no legal entity. There is no need to mention names, all journalists and officials at Polda Metro know what is meant,” he explained again.
A similar statement was also made by a senior journalist with the initials BU. He said that as far as he knew, Kombes Pol Latif Usman was only aware of administrators of journalists’ organizations without legal entities and journalists from mainstream media. “We all know the corruption of the Ditlantas Polda Metro on all fronts. Extortion thrives everywhere. And the Dirlantas, which doesn’t care about journalists, turns a blind eye and doesn’t want to share,” said BU.
“It’s very different from the figures of the previous Dirlantas and Kasubdit Regident officials who were very aware and welcomed sharing with journalists without distinguishing between media. We miss the figures of Dirlantas and Kasubdit Regident who were like that,” he added.
Furthermore, BU also hopes that these friends’ complaints can immediately get a win-win solution. And it would be even better if this complaint received serious attention from the Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Karyoto for a solution.
“Well, hopefully this complaint will be heard and paid attention to by the Kapolda Metro Jaya. And we all hope that the attention from Metro 1 will make Kombes Pol Latif more aware and open to sharing with fellow journalists in general.
