Jakarta – The presence of Mayor Inf Teddy Indra Wijaya at the first Presidential Candidate Debate at the KPU on December 12 2023 because he was following Prabowo’s agenda caused polemics. Even though Teddy does not represent the TNI institution and his presence at the Presidential Candidate Debate was not due to personal interests.
This clarification was conveyed by the Kapuspen TNI, Laksamana Muda Julius Widjojono at TNI Headquarters Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Monday, (18/12).
As is known, in a number of videos and photos circulating, Mayor Teddy is seen sitting in a row with Prabowo Subianto supporters. He appeared to be wearing clothes of the same color as Prabowo’s supporters.
“He is only an aide who carries out his duties following the activities of the Minister of Defense (Menhan). He does not represent the TNI institution or personal interests. The aide is always involved in the activities of the Menhan. The person concerned only carries out his duties as an aide, nothing more,” explained the Kapuspen TNI.
