Bandung – Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto distributed 2,000 basic food packages to the people of Lembang in the context of social service entitled ‘One Day Experience Adventure and Social Awareness’ at the Balaturanngga Denkavkud Pussenkav Football Field, Bandung, Sunday, (17/12).
This activity, which was initiated by the ranks of Kodam III/Siliwangi, is a form of TNI concern for the community, especially the residents of West Java, as a form of TNI responsiveness to the community’s difficulties regarding the increase in basic food prices ahead of Christmas.
The basic food package given by the Panglima TNI consisted of 1 pack of 5 kg premium rice, 1 pack of 1 liter cooking oil, 1 can of 155 gram sardines, 1 can of 370 gram can of milk, 1 pack of tea bags, 1 pack of 1 kg sugar, 1 pack of coffee. 165 grams of powder, and 5 packs of instant noodles.
A resident who received a basic food package from Cikahuripan Lembang Village, Kandi, when interviewed, expressed his thanks to the TNI. “This really helps us small communities in the villages and this can feed us for a month,” he said.
Apart from distributing 2,000 basic food packages, this activity was also filled with mass medical health services. “We feel grateful and grateful to the TNI because we can get free treatment and get medicines to stock up at home,” said Euis, a resident of Parongpong who was greeted by the Panglima TNI when taking part in the mass treatment.
After distributing basic necessities and health services, the activity continued with a tree planting event to preserve nature. Several types of trees planted include jackfruit trees, mango trees, petai trees and sugar apple trees.

On the sidelines of this activity, the Panglima TNI together with the TNI Main Officer (PJU) also carried out offroad activities. This activity was carried out with the aim of enabling TNI officials to instill a love of nature and experience adventure in environmentally friendly vehicles.
This off-road activity is also very beneficial for military soldiers because it can train their adrenaline to be more enthusiastic and passionate. Offroad can also encourage courage to go through the streets and try to conquer them. With training like this, courage will automatically be cultivated so that you will be braver and more alert in facing all problems.
Apart from that, offroad activities also have the potential to open up gaps in isolated areas. By exploring uninhabited areas, isolated areas can be reached and their whereabouts known. This can be useful for opening up new land.
Also present to accompany the Panglima TNI in this activity were the KSAL, KSAU, Deputy KSAD, Inspector General TNI, Pangkogabwilhan I, Pangkogabwilhan III, Dansesko TNI, Danjen Academy TNI, Kabais TNI, Dankodiklat TNI, Koorsahli Panglima TNI and Assistant Panglima TNI, Pangdam III /Slw, Kapolda Jabar and Bupati West Bandung.
