Jakarta – A shophouse located in Complex 115, Jl Pangeran Jayakarta, Central Jakarta is strongly suspected of being a warehouse for storing illegally imported LED lamps of various brands. One of them is the Yazuho brand. The lamps stored in the shophouse allegedly came from China.
One of the informants on topikonline.co.id who happened to have worked at the shophouse said that the owners of the shophouse number B-10 were Chinese citizens. They take turns guarding and staying in the shophouse every two months.
“His older brother is usually called Ko Acin. And his younger brother’s name Ko Awa. They are both business owners under the banner of PT Sinar Mas. But they don’t have a business permit. They came to Indonesia with a tourist permit,” said the source, Monday, (11/12) .
He also said that the shophouse in Pangeran Jayakarta functions as a marketing warehouse. Meanwhile, the main warehouse is in Sepatan, Tangerang Regency, Banten.
“So the flow of light sent from China arrives at Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta. After going through the process of giving gratuity money to port officials, the goods are taken out to Sepatan. From there they are sent to the shophouse in Pangeran Jayakarta to be marketed to Kenari Mas, Glodok and several other places outside the city,” he explained again.
The informant also said that while he was still working there, he was once caught in a police raid while carrying the lights in a truck. The next process was that the truck containing the lights was taken to the Polsek Metro Penjaringan and detained.
However, he continued, within a short time the truck containing the lights was released again after PT Sinar Mas management handed over Rp60 million in cash.
“This happened in 2019 when I was still working there. And coincidentally I was the one who was raided. But the person who gave the money to the Polsek Metro Penjaringan at that time was from the marketing department,” he said again.
“Basically, there are many violations of the law. From violations of tourist permits to Indonesia, not having a business permit, also all imported lamps entering Indonesia illegally without paying customs duties but being marketed openly here,” he continued emphasizing.
From PT Sinar Mas, when this was confirmed, they looked emotional and very uncooperative. Two women wearing hijabs from management who were met refused to answer requests for confirmation and clarification.
“Where did you get the information? Where is your assignment letter? We have all the permits needed, including from Immigration,” said one of them curtly without wanting to show proof of the permits in question. Bembo
