Jakarta – The trial of the pre-trial lawsuit filed by the inactive Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Firli Bahuri, regarding the determination of a suspect in the extortion case against former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL), will begin today, Monday, (11/12). And according to the schedule, the trial will start at 11.00 WIB.
“Scheduling at 11.00 WIB,” said South Jakarta District Court Public Relations Djuyamto.
However, Djuyamto could not confirm whether Firli was present in person or represented.
“We don’t know yet whether the person concerned (Firli) was present or not,” he said.
For your information, based on the South Jakarta District Court’s Case Tracking Information System (SIPP), Firli Bahuri’s pretrial hearing is registered with case number 129/Pid.Pra/2023/PN JKT.SEL. The trial will be held in courtroom 01.
Firli filed a pretrial lawsuit because he did not accept that he had been named a suspect by Polda Metro Jaya investigators. He filed a pretrial lawsuit on November 24 2023 with the defendant Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Karyoto.
Even though he didn’t want to understand, investigators had examined 91 witnesses before naming him as a suspect. The police also have a lot of evidence to charge him. One of them is the recording of foreign exchange worth Rp7.4 billion
Just to recall, this case started with a public complaint (dumas) to Polda Metro Jaya on August 12 2023. The complaint contains allegations of extortion by the KPK leadership, in a corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) in 2021.
After going through a series of investigations, the police raised the status to investigation on October 6 2023. Until then, Firli was named a suspect in this case. Bembo
