Jakarta – The body of former BNPB Head Letjen TNI (Ret.) Doni Monardo has been laid to rest at the Cijantung Kopassus Headquarters, East Jakarta. The body was released by military to the Kalibata Heroes’ Cemetery (TMP), Monday, (4/12).
The body was taken outside the 1111 Command Hall building. This military release of the bodies was led by Deputy Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Letjen TNI I Nyoman Cantiasa.
Doni Monardo’s body was handed over by family representatives to the state for burial at Kalibata TMP.
“We, on behalf of the state, nation and army of the Republic of Indonesia, received the body of the late Letnan Jenderal Doni Monardo, then I will send the deceased’s body to its final resting place, at the Heroes’ Cemetery,” said Letjen TNI I Nyoman Cantiasa.
After being paid respects, the body was put into the hearse. The hearse and convoy left the Cijantung Kopassus Headquarters for Kalibata TMP.
Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto was also seen attending the Kopasus Headquarters. Likewise Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto, Wiranto and Jusuf Kalla.
A number of high-ranking Kopassus officials were also present at the Command Hall to pay their respects to Doni’s body. Apart from that, a number of retired military officers and BNPB representatives were also seen.
As is known, retired Letjen TNI Doni Monardo died Sunday, (3/12) afternoon. Doni Monardo died at 17.35 WIB. Doni was previously treated intensively at Siloam Semanggi Hospital, Jakarta.
Doni Monardo’s body was previously departed from Siloam Semanggi Hospital to the funeral home on Sunday, (3/12) evening. Next, from the funeral home at 08.06 WIB Doni’s body was sent to the Cijantung Kopassus Headquarters to be buried. Bembo
