Jakarta – During the fit & proper test at the DPR RI, Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto conveyed the vision and mission as well as implementing priorities, namely well trained, well equipped and well paid.
The understanding of the priority implementation is that TNI soldiers must be well trained, have sophisticated weapons and have good welfare. In this way, soldiers are expected to be professional in carrying out their duties while also being able to meet their daily needs.
Regarding well paid, Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto conveyed this again in front of the media crew, after handing over the leadership baton of the Chief of Army Staff (KSAD) to Jenderal TNI Maruli Simanjuntak at the Army Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday, (1/12) yesterday.
Panglima Agus said that the issue of the welfare of TNI soldiers had been reported to the President of the Republic of Indonesia in a limited cabinet meeting.
“Some time ago, a limited meeting was held with the President, followed by the Minister of Finance, then Bappenas, the Minister of BUMN and the Kapolri. I conveyed that the soldier’s side dish money was still below standard, namely Rp88,000,” said Panglima Agus.
“And that is lower than what Polri personnel get. When compared with the Polri, it is very far away. The Polri has Rp200,000 to Rp300,000. So I conveyed it and he agreed. So before 2024, hopefully it will be realized that soldiers’ side money (ULP) can be equal to that of the Polri,” he continued emphasizing. Bembo
