Jakarta – The Subdit Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya is handling a strange old case. A case regarding land, where it is suspected that there was an error in mortgaging land to a private bank.

This case occurred in the Roa Malaka area, Tambora, West Jakarta. The reporting party is Iwan Chandra with the reported party TSF being none other than Iwan Chandra’s neighbor.

Iwan Chandra reported this case to Polda Metro Jaya in 2018. But it was only really revealed in 2023 when Polda Metro Jaya was led by Irjen Pol Karyoto.

For your information, this case started when Iwan Chandra reported his neighbor with the initials TSF to Polda Metro Jaya because he had mortgaged his land to a private bank. This incident caused Iwan to lose almost Rp3.5 billion.

According to Iwan, at that time he bought two plots of land in 2014. There were two families who rented the land at that time.

“One finally left. Meanwhile, the other one took the bank and put up a mortgage sign,” said Iwan.

He tried to carry out family mediation, but what Iwan received was unpleasant treatment. Finally he decided to make a police report (LP) to Polda Metro Jaya in 2018.

“After five years of stalling, only now has the case been reopened,” he said softly.

Apart from making an LP with the reported TSF, Iwan also issued a summons against a private bank branch in Petak Baru. He also forwarded the summons to the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority, Polda Metro Jaya, the Central Private Bank Office and the Ombudsman.

Meanwhile, Kasubdit Jatanras Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Samian said, that in relation to this case his party had questioned five people. And one of them is a private bank employee who is strongly suspected of violating banking standard operating procedures (SOP).

“And for the next process we will examine three witnesses with the initials M, the reported party TSF, and a private bank employee with the initials J,” explained AKBP Samian in the Letter of Notification of Investigation Result Progress (SP2HP) which he signed and received by the media crew, Thursday, (30/11) .

Meanwhile, in the letter with number B/5551/XI/RES.1.11/2023/Ditreskrimum, it has been revealed that so far the police have returned the limit on TSF’s Certificate of Ownership (SHM) which was reported by neighbor Iwan Chandra.

TSF and J themselves have actually been checked beforehand. However, the police did not refuse to summon the two of them again to clarify new evidence, namely the official report issued by the West Jakarta Land Office (Kantah).

For your information, in October 2023, West Jakarta Kantah issued a letter Number IP.02.02/2579 31.73.200/X/2023 regarding regional boundaries which was signed directly by the Head of Survey and Mapping Section, Angga Yuda Prawira. The letter clearly explained the territorial boundaries between Iwan and TSF.

In point three of the letter, it is explained that SHM No. 872/Roa Malaka, which has been mortgaged to a private bank, is known to be on Iwan’s land.

Meanwhile, the bank through the Alternative Financial Services Sector Dispute Resolution Institute (LAPS SJK) has responded to Iwan Chandra’s complaint with Letter Number 23/PTK/0001. The letter states that it respects the ongoing legal process and will continue to cooperate with the authorities to fulfill the summons. Bembo
