Jakarta – Christopher Steffanus Budianto (CSB), a suspect in fraud and embezzlement of a car belonging to artist Jessica Iskandar (Jedar) was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand, and is now languishing in the Polda Metro Jaya detention room.
Kasubdit Ranmor Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Yuliansyah, said that the arrest of CSB occurred at around 3 pm Bangkok time. CSB was arrested while walking on the sidewalk in the Bangkok area.
“So the person concerned was carrying out his usual activities of walking in the afternoon on the side of the road, on a protocol road. The officers who were following him were finally arrested while walking on the sidewalk,” said Kompol Yuliansyah, Wednesday, (22/11).
Meanwhile, CSB admitted to investigators that he had gone to Thailand to build a business network to return money to Jessica Iskandar. CSB then got to know one of the hotel bosses in Bang Na, Thailand.
It was reported that the Thai hotel boss took CSB to Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, last Tuesday, (21/11) afternoon. They also hugged when they were about to part.
“That’s the hotel owner (mentioning the name of the hotel) here in Bang Na,” said CSB.
According to him, he knew the hotel boss and joined the business with him. His business is car rental.
