Jakarta – Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto was officially appointed Panglima TNI by President Joko Widodo at the State Palace, Jakarta, at 08.30 WIB, Wednesday, (22/11). Jenderal TNI Agus replaces Laksamana Yudo Margono who is about to retire.
The inauguration of Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto began with the reading of the presidential decree regarding the dismissal and appointment of the Panglima TNI. After that, President Joko Widodo pinned his rank and handed over the Panglima’s TNI baton to Jenderal TNI Agus Subianto.
After that, President Joko Widodo led the reading of the oath of office.
“By Allah, I swear that I will be loyal to the Republic of Indonesia which is based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, and will carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible for the sake of my devotion to the nation and state, that in carrying out my duties of office I will uphold the ethics of office, work to the best of my ability and with a full sense of responsibility that I will uphold the soldier’s oath,” said an excerpt from the oath read by Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto.
Also present at this inauguration were Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md, Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia,
Also present were Head of BIN Budi Gunawan, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, Kapolri Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, previous Panglima TNI Laksamana TNI Yudo Margono, Chairman of Wantimpres Wiranto.
Also seen were the Chair of the DPR RI, Puan Maharani and Deputy Chair of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Rachmat Gobel, Acting Governor of DKI Heru Budi Hartono, KSAU Marsekal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo and KSAL Laksamana TNI Muhammad Ali.
It is known that Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto was recently appointed as KSAD, namely on October 25 2023. After a month, Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto was then elected as Panglima TNI replacing Laksamana Yudo Margono who will retire on November 26 2024. Bembo
