Jakarta – Kapolres Metro Jakarta Utara Kombes Pol Gidion Arif Setyawan took the initiative to form an Anti-Tawuran Task Force. It is hoped that the Kapolres Gidion initiative to form this task force will be an effective new way to prevent brawls in Jakarta Utara.

He said that currently the intensity of brawling in Jakarta Utara has decreased very significantly. Even so, continued Kapolres Gidion, appropriate methods and efforts are still needed so that brawls do not happen again and become truly violent.

“The number of brawls in North Jakarta has now fallen or could even be said to be in the zero brawl phase. But it is still very important to prepare and carry out preventive efforts,” he explained to journalists in Pademangan, Saturday, (19/11) last night.

Kapolres Gidion further said, that several months ago members of the Anti-Brawl Task Force succeeded in arresting and identifying the perpetrators of a disturbing brawl. Be it in Kampung Bahari, Gang Macan and Koja.

“Several months ago we succeeded in arresting the gang or gangster who was behind the brawl, along with evidence of their sharp weapons. This is clear evidence of the results of our efforts to form an Anti-Brawl Task Force,” said Kapolres Gidion.

The Anti-Brawl Task Force itself, he continued, will continue to carry out patrols every day around all vulnerable areas and other street crimes in North Jakarta.

“Members will patrol every night, to prevent brawls and other street crimes,” said this middle-ranking officer from the 1996 Wira Satya Akpol Battalion production. Bembo
