Jakarta – The famous band from England, Coldplay, successfully held a concert at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK), Wednesday, (15/11) last week evening.
However, this success did not necessarily make all his fans happy. Some of them actually felt ‘short of breath’ due to failing to watch because they were victims of concert ticket sales fraud.
Less than 24 hours after the concert, the police succeeded in arresting RA, one of the perpetrators of the fraud. In this deceptive act, RA guaranteed that the victims would get Coldplay concert tickets because they had insider contacts.
From this action, RA admitted that he made more than Rp300 million from the victim’s money.
But RA was only one of the perpetrators of the Coldplay concert ticket fraud. There are still many more perpetrators who are still at large. This can be seen from the large number of fraud victims who come to the Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat to make a police report (LP).
Currently, in the victim’s report there are 400 tickets recorded. The total value of losses is estimated at Rp1.3 billion.
“Currently investigations and investigations are still being carried out, as well as other efforts so that the person concerned can return the ticket money, if they cannot,” said Kapolres Metro Jakarta Pusat, Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro.
He explained, that currently his party is still continuing to investigate the fraud method, including looking more deeply into the losses experienced by a number of victims.
“Indeed, the method is that people order from the person concerned, then he tries to find them, but up to the day there were no tickets that could be given to the order,” said Kombes Pol Susatyo. Bembo
