Jakarta – Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat moved quickly to arrest Leon Dozan (LD), son of action actor Willy Dozan at his residence, Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta on Thursday, (16/11) at 22.00 WIB.
LD was arrested on suspicion of abuse and defamation of the Polri institution.
“We arrested the suspect LD at 22.00 WIB at his house, Cirendeu area, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta,” said Kapolres Metro Jakarta Pusat, Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro at Mapolrestro Jakpus, Friday, (17/11) yesterday.
He said that the police had received a report of abuse against the victim in the name of N (19 years old) on November 8 2023.
For your information, LD was caught in this case because he abused his girlfriend with the initials NZA twice in different locations and at different times.
The first assault was carried out on 30 September 2023 at Cinere Mall and the second, on 7 November 2023 at the victim’s residence, namely on Jalan Biak, Gambir, Central Jakarta.
“The abuse was carried out using hands and based on the results of the post-mortem there were injuries on the victim, on the hands, around the neck and thighs,” Kapolres Susatyo said.
As for the motive for the abuse, continued Kapolres Susatyo, it was because of jealousy after seeing the contents of the message and so on that the suspect carried out abuse and violence against the victim.
Likewise, the Kapolres Susatyo also confirmed that LD’s urine test results were negative for drugs and others.
LD was charged under Article 351 of the Criminal Code or maltreatment which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
Currently, LD is wearing an orange prison jumpsuit and is being held at the Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat.
Apart from the abuse case, LD was also subject to multiple articles, namely Article 207 of the Criminal Code concerning Written and Oral Insults against Authorities or Public Bodies in Indonesia.
“The suspect also insulted the police because he was carried away by emotions. The person concerned was jealous and so on, because the victim wanted to report it to the police. Then the suspect challenged the victim to report it to the police with all the insults at the Polri institution,” said Kapolres Susatyo.
On the same occasion, LD apologized for his mistake in insulting the Polri institution. He also admitted that he regretted his actions.
“Dear Mr. Kapolres, i apologize because i made a mistake in ‘defaming’ the Polri institution. I made a mistake in my actions and i regret it and my family apologizes,” said LD in a low voice.
Allegations of abuse by LD first spread after a member of the DPR RI uploaded video footage to social media.
