Pasuruan – The tragedy of the crash of the TNI AU’s Super Tucano tactical fighter plane in Pasuruan killed four pilots. Due to this sadness, the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force (KSAU), Marsekal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo, and the General Chairperson of PIA Ardhya Garini, Inong Fadjar Prasetyo, expressed their condolences for the passing of the four best Indonesian Air Force soldiers.
“The KSAU and General Chairperson of PIA Ardhya Garini and the entire extended family of the Indonesian Air Force would like to express their condolences to the best soldiers of the Indonesian Air Force who died in carrying out their duties,” wrote the official Instagram account of the Indonesian Air Force, military.air, as reported by topikonline.co.id, Friday, (17/11).
The tragedy of the crash of two TNI AU fighter planes resulted in the death of each of the flight crew. As is known, the Super Tucano fighter aircraft with tail number TT-3111 was manned by Letkol Pnb Sandhra Gunawan in the front seat and Kolonel Adm Widiono Hadiwijaya in the back seat.
Meanwhile, the fighter plane with tail number TT-3103 was manned by Mayor Pnb Yuda Anggara Seta in the front seat and Kolonel Pnb Subhan in the back seat.

The Indonesian Air Force also said that the bodies of four TNI personnel who died in the incident had been found. The first two bodies found were the late Mayor (Pnb) Yuda A Seta and Kolonel (Pnb) Subhan. The third body found by Kolonel Adm Widiono. Meanwhile, Letkol Sandhra’s body was found last.
“At around 7 pm (19.00 WIB), the body (Letkol Pnb Sandhra Gunawan) was found and was being evacuated to Abd Saleh Air Base,” said Head of the Indonesian Air Force Information Service (Kadispenau) Marsma Agung Sasongko Jati Marsma Agung to journalists at Abdulrachman Saleh Air Base , Thursday, (16/11) last night.
The bodies of the four crew members were buried in the hangar of Squadron 21 at Abdulrachman Saleh Airport. The four bodies will be released militarily today.
The late Kolonel (Pnb) Subhan is known to have sent Indonesian aid to Palestine on November 4 2023. At that time, the TNI Puspen released that there were 44 TNI personnel who took part in the mission to send Indonesian aid to Palestine, and one of them was Kolonel Pnb Subhan.
The two fighter jets that crashed in Pasuruan Regency came from Air Squadron 21. These two fighter jets flew with two other fighter jets which returned to the air base safely, for a mission to fly with formation flight proficiency.
Before flying, the four fighter jets carried out Station at 10.15 WIB. After that, the four fighter jets carried out Engine 4 A/C Start at 10.39 WIB.
Then the four fighter jets took off from Abdurahman Saleh Air Base at 10.50 WIB. At 11.18, fighter jets TT-3111 and TT-3103 lost contact.
