Jakarta – Kapolda Metro Jaya Irjen Pol Karyoto attended the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) Gathering event with Community Figures in Order to Make the Elections Successful and Safe. This activity was held at the Metro Jaya Meeting Hall (BPMJ), Monday, (13/11) .
Also present at this activity was the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono, Pangdam Jaya MayjenTNI Mohamad Hasan, Wakapolda for Metro Jaya Brigjen Pol Suyudi Ario Seto, Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque Prof. Dr. K.H. Nasaruddin Umar, M.A, Habaib Jindan Bin Novel Bin Salim Bin Jindan, KH. Maulana Kamal Yusuf, H. Nachrowi Ramli, Prof. DR. Hj. Sylviana Murni SH., Main Officials of Polda Metro Jaya, Kapolres and Head of Community Development Unit of Polda Metro Jaya.
In his speech, Kapolda Karyoto said that this gathering had a very noble aim, namely equalizing perceptions, equalizing determination and making various future efforts so that the upcoming elections could run safely and peacefully.
“This opportunity is of course a friendship. “Here there is the government, Mr Governor and his staff, there are the TNI-Polri and there are all the community leaders,” he said
Furthermore, Kapolda Karyoto also said that a few days ago, today and in the days to come, this nation will carry out a leadership regeneration process for the future. And of course, this process is regulated by law with various stages.
“Earlier, the Director of Intel described how the 2019 Election would be with various kinds of events. “We will of course learn from things that are less than perfect, we will perfect the things that are not good,” explained Kapolda Karyoto.
Furthermore, Kapolda Karyoto also said that the purpose of holding this gathering was to create a safer, cooler situation. Apart from that, it is also so that religious and community leaders can communicate and stay in touch with people who are members of their congregations and organizations.
“We believe that the 2024 Election is a process that plans to regenerate National leadership. “We hope that the elections can run safely, orderly and with legitimacy from the community,” explained Kapolda Karyoto.
“And we know that Jakarta nationally has the highest level of vulnerability among other provinces. Because here is the center of national government, the center of state institutions. And currently the process relating to mutual challenges to the Constitutional Court’s decision is still ongoing. “Hopefully whatever the results are, they will be well received by the public and without any excessive reactions,” he added
Furthermore, Kapolda Karyoto really hopes for support and active participation in order to create a safe and conducive situation. He also hopes that the public can exercise their right to vote safely and well.
“The election was actually only held for one day with the voters casting their votes from members of the public. It’s just that the process is legally recognized by the contestants and can influence all people who have the right to vote by campaigning. “This has started with socialization so that in time there will be dialogue with debates and so on and of course that will be an assessment for prospective owners as to who will be chosen,” he said at the end of his speech.
