Jakarta – Polda Metro Jaya plans to recall the Director of Community Services and Complaints or Dumas KPK, Tomi Murtomo next week. Tomi’s summons is related to the alleged extortion case carried out by the KPK leadership against the former Indonesian Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, alias SYL.
However, in the summons, the name of the KPK chairman, Firli Bahuri, was not included in next week’s summons.
Dirreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Ade Safri Simanjuntak said that the plan is for Tomi Murtomo to be summoned on Monday 16 October 2023.
During the previous summons, Tomi was absent along with other witnesses whose identities had not been revealed. However, Tomi confirmed the reason for his absence so that he could be recalled.
“There are several witnesses, yes. There are several witnesses that we have summoned. Including a re-summon of one of the KPK employees who on Thursday confirmed his absence because there was a previously scheduled schedule so we called him again,” said Kombes Pol Ade to journalists when confirmed on Friday, (13/10).
Kombes Pol Ade explained that the summons for Tomi was scheduled for the day after Monday at around 10.00 WIB.
“The investigative team summoned the person concerned on Monday 16 October 2023 at 10.00 WIB,” he explained.
Then, Kombes Pol Ade confirmed that Firli Bahuri’s name would not be included in Monday’s summons. “Meanwhile,” he said.
Previously, Kapolda Metro Jaya Irjen Pol Karyoto revealed the reason his party scheduled an examination of KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri. The investigation was related to a case of alleged extortion by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) leadership against SYL.
Kapolda Karyoto said that by examining Firli, his party wanted to find out the alleged involvement of the retired National Police officer in the case.
“Yes, it’s related, whether it’s related or not,” said Kapolda Karyoto to reporters, Friday, (13/10).
According to the former KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution, Firli could be questioned as a witness. Meanwhile, his party has made a schedule for examining Firli. However, the time is not yet known.
“Yes, if it is appropriate to be examined, asked for information as a witness, then we will ask for information,” he said again.
In the alleged extortion case, SYL has also been questioned by Polda Metro Jaya investigators. Bembo
