Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) guarantees that it will fully support the investigation into allegations of extortion against the former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) by the KPK leadership. It is suspected that the KPK leader, Firli Bahuri, blackmailed Syahrul Yasin Limpo regarding the handling of alleged corruption cases at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).
Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Committee, Alexander Marwata, confirmed that his party would facilitate Polda Metro Jaya if they wanted to investigate Syahrul Yasin Limpo, who is currently being held in the KPK detention center.
“We support the Regional Police, for example the Regional Police will need information from the suspects detained by the KPK, of course we will facilitate it,” said the KPK’s Red and White Building, Jakarta, Friday (13/10).
Alex assured that there is no competition between the Corruption Eradication Commission and the Polda Metro Jaya in investigating the alleged extortion case. Alex ensured that both the Corruption Eradication Committee and the Regional Police would act professionally in resolving this case.
