Jakarta -The Director of General Criminal Investigation Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Hengki Haryadi, strongly denies that his members are involved in a terrorist network. He said his member, Bripka Reinaldy Prakoso and two other policemen were arrested for different issues.
“Regarding the members of the police (the arrested members of the police have no connection with the terror network,” he explained in a press conference, Friday, (18/8).
According to him, Reinaldy was arrested for selling illegal firearms. Apart from Bripka Reinaldy, there are two other police officers, namely members of Renmin Samapta Cirebon District Police, Bripka Syarif Mukhsin and Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of North Bekasi Police, Iptu Muhamad Yudi Saputra.
“We need to straighten this information. Our operations are still continuing, we still haven’t confiscated many weapons. We are coordinating with the Special Detachment and Military Command,” he said.
As previously reported, one member of Polda Metro Jaya and two other policemen were arrested for allegedly being involved in a terrorist network in Bekasi.
