Jakarta– In an effort to investigate further into the harassment case of the Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 contestants, investigators from the Sub-Directorate for Renakta of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya immediately checked the hotel where the incident occurred (TKP), last Wednesday, (9/8). Checks are carried out to find out the description of the location.
After this process was completed, investigators also got an initial picture of the location of the case which was in the corner of the hotel ballroom and covered with curtains.
“Yes, just like ballrooms in general. The location for body checking is in a corner and closed like a portable curtain,” explained the Head of Sub Directorate of Renakta General Criminal Investigation Directorate
of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Yuliansyah, to the media crew, Thursday, (10/8). Yuliansyah.
Even so, he did not explain in detail what was obtained from checking the hotel.
“While only the initial information from the hotel,” he said.
Unlike the case with the CCTV investigation plan at the hotel TKP, where Kompol Yuliansyah said his party would involve a team of experts for in-depth investigation.
“Later we will bring in a team of experts to deepen the CCTV,” he said.
Furthermore, Kompol Yuliansyah also revealed that the moment of checking the hotel CCTV would always be a special concern for the victim. The reason, he continued, was that there were concerns that the contestants’ body checking moments when they were photographed naked by unscrupulous persons were also caught on CCTV.
However, said Kompol Yuliansyah, the process of checking the hotel’s CCTV will still be carried out even though there are concerns from the victims. While waiting for the implementation of the process, investigators will also carry out development by summoning the hotel whose local delictus became the TKP.
