Jakarta – Operation Patuh Jaya 2023 uses a stationary raid scheme in a number of areas. Stationary raids themselves are optimizing the enforcement of traffic violations by utilizing Electronic Traffic Low Enforcement (ETLE).
“We still use stationary activities. We will place personnel on all routes that have become our targets,” said the Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Latif Usman to the media crew, Monday (10/7).
However, Kombes Pol Latif was reluctant to explain in detail which areas would be used as enforcement points. In addition to the stationary scheme, he continued, his party also conducted patrols for other motorists.
“We will deploy all officers in the field. So not every vehicle is stopped, but we are still maximizing ETLE mobile and ETLE status. Members who are in the field still see visible violations in front of them,” said Kombes Pol Latif.
Separately, Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General Pol Karyoto expressed his hope that the implementation of the 2023 Patuh Jaya Operation could have a disciplinary effect on road users.
“This is a routine agenda, the central Korlantas agenda is in the context of disciplining the traffic community,” said Kapolda Karyoto in his remarks at the 2023 Patuh Jaya Operations troop holding ceremony, Monday, (10/7).
Kapolda Karyoto also said that this activity was included in a special operation.
“In the next 14 days, hopefully it will have a disciplinary effect,” he said.
He said again, the target of prosecution is a real violation in the field. Therefore, it is hoped that the driver can prepare personal and health readiness before driving the vehicle.
As an example of preparing a vehicle such as brakes, mirrors, papers and tires that are not bald.
After both are ready, the rider must also obey the traffic rules. “Observe signs, bicycle lane markings, fast lanes, special lanes that may not be passed, such as the busway lane,” said Kapolda Karyoto.
He also explained that one of the things emphasized in the 2023 Patuh Jaya Operation is focusing on self-safety by not playing with devices and taking actions to reduce concentration.
