Jakarta – The Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) Polda Metro Jaya will impose emission test tickets to reduce air pollution figures. This sanction will apply to two-wheeled vehicles as well as four-wheeled vehicles.
Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Latif Usman said, the ticketing mechanism would cooperate with the Environment and Forestry Service. Polda Metro Jaya uses tools from the Environment and Forestry Service to test vehicle emissions.
“We will carry out these stages from socialization, warnings, to fines,” said Kombes Pol Latif Usman, Thursday, (24/8).
The socialization began on 26 August 2023. Violators of the emission test will be subject to a fine of Rp250 thousand for two wheels. Meanwhile, four-wheeled vehicles are subject to a penalty of Rp500,000 or imprisonment for one to two months.
Emission test ticketing aims to discipline vehicles. Especially vehicles with carbon emissions that do not comply with the provisions stipulated in Article 285 paragraph 1 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Transport Traffic. Bembo
